Foreign Relations and Development Office of Akaki Tsereteli State University was established in 1994. It a  structural unit of the university and is under the authority of university rector. Within its competence the Office is responsible for:


1. Ensuring international relations and strategic development in the implementation of the University goals, objectives and priorities;
2. Establishing relations with academic and scientific institutions of other countries
3. Organizing visits of foreign visitors and official delegations;
4. Rector's protocol;
5. Facilitation of  mobility for university students and academic personnel;
6. Agreements and Memorandums
7. Coordination of activities in the field of international relations for management bodies and educational structural units of the university;
8. Official correspondence on behalf of the university;
9. Services provided to foreign students
