Valeriane (Vako) Kifiani, a student of the "Graduate Medical/PBL" educational program, completed a hospitation course at the Orthopedics-Traumatology and Endoprosthetics Center of said Fichtelgebirge clinic within the framework of the cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine of the National Academy of Medical Sciences and the Fichtelgebirge Clinic in Germany.
Vako familiarized himself with the principles of the German health care system, he had the opportunity to directly participate in inpatient activities in the clinic, he was introduced to new patients who entered the emergency department and their stories, he was directly involved in the management of inpatients, it was especially interesting to participate in surgical operations. Vako believes that hospitation provides a great experience for professional development, and the acquired knowledge and accumulated experience will help in future career planning.
