The “Center” acts according to the law of Georgia on “Higher Education”, the Labor Law, the Statute of the University and other legislative and statutory acts, decisions made by the University Governing Bodies and these Regulations;
The “Center” is responsible for implementing the entrusted objectives and functions and is accountable to the Rector of the University.

Functions and Responsibilities of the Service:
-The Center leads and conducts university activities connected with the culture, sports and youth affairs of the university;
-Carrying out cultural-creative, academic-vocational multi-profile activities at the university, popularizing the university creative activity and working out common cultural policy on these issues;
-Caring about engagement of students and the staff in the creative activity in accordance with their talent and wish;
-Establishing creative contacts that meet the modern requirements for the purpose of harmonious development of the university students and attracting them in the creative field;
-Engaging the university students in cultural events;
-Caring about maintaining, strengthening and popularizing folk culture in Georgia;
-Developing the university sports, popularizing sports, organizing sports events and Universiades for the purpose of establishing healthy lifestyle among the students-youth and the personnel;
-Attracting students-sportsmen in sports events and distinguishing gifted students, encouraging them to take part in world and national Universiades in the name of the university;
-Preparing recreational and sports events, arranging sports bases and inventories.
-Searching for sponsors for the successful sportsmen and their maximum support;
-Promoting positive development of the youth – the process that means studying those needs, which are connected with the cognitive, social, physical, emotional and moral development of the youth; the process that helps a young person to enhance his/her abilities and skills and realize them,
-Ensure and favor the youth’s orientation on the development of their own skills and abilities, make them realize that the period of the adolescence is the best time for acquiring their profession or other skills, motivate them to have a wish to care about their own development independently.
