Based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and Akaki Tsereteli State University in Georgia on December 1, 2020, Akaki Tsereteli State University established a Child Rights Knowledge Center to integrate inclusive and child rights-oriented knowledge, attitudes and practices.
On February 24-25, 2022, a training and seminar was held for the academic staff of the pedagogical faculty of Akaki Tsereteli State University. Participants: Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Head of the Child Rights Center - Mamuli Bukhukhishvili, Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty of Pedagogy - Vladimer Adeishvili, Head of the University Educational Process Management Service - Imeri Basiladze. Child Rights Expert - Nato Kobuladze, Specialist in Information Technology Introduction and Use in Educational Process, Trainer-Consultant of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development - Nodar Tsagareishvili.
During the training, a number of changes were implemented in the undergraduate and graduate programs, taking into account the modern accreditation requirements. It was determined what specific pedagogical and subject knowledge should be given to future teachers to apply in the teaching process of a particular subject. The participants discussed relevant training resources and online / digital platforms, local capacity development issues.
