The pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) is not receding, again millions of people are infected on our planet. Consequently, conversations with students on sensitive topics are still relevant. Students of the English Language Medicine Program of the Faculty of Medicine met with Associate Professor at Akaki Tsereteli State University, Neurologist Tamar Janelidze and talked about the neurological complications caused by Covid infection.

Nodar Maglaperidze, Director of the Clinic "LJ & Company", delivered a lecture on "Proper Management of Patients with Confirmed COVID-19", which was attended by the Faculty of Medicine. The program focused on the proper management of a Covid-infected patient and highlighted important patient management issues from virus confirmation to full recovery. The lecture was conducted in the format of a question-and-answer session and aroused great interest among the audience.

Continuing the training course for students of Atsu Medical Faculty, Infectious Diseases Professor Darejan Khachapuridze talked to the students about the increased cases of infection, complications of COVID-19 infection and high risk groups. Clearly, the increased risks of infection and prevention measures remain a hot topic of discussion.

During the training course for students of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Kakha Nuralidze discussed the principles of COVID-19 severe case management, spoke about the state standard for clinical management and the challenges facing the Georgian healthcare system, especially the hospital sector.

 


                       


 

Students of ATSU Faculty of Medicine listened to a lecture by Tamar Meparishvili, Clinical Epidemiologist of Imereti Regional Clinical Hospital, on the topic: Infection Control in Medical Institutions. Students were introduced to the rules of infection surveillance and control for medical service providers
