Akaki Tsereteli State University will host  Mrs. Tamar Gharibashvili, the representative of the Francophone University Agency AUF. The event includes the presentation of AUF projects, the transfer of French books to the ATSU library, and a meeting with students of various faculties.

On June 28, the Director of the International Agency of Francophone Universities in Eastern and Central Europe, Mr. Muhammad Ketata, the representative of AUF in Georgia, Ms. Tamar Gharibashvili, and other officials paid a business visit to Akaki Tsereteli State University. The purpose of the visit was to summarize the one-year work of the international project "University Success Center" sponsored by AUF (project managers Prof. Nino Chikhladze, Associate Prof. Lia Nozadze). The guests met the rector of the university, prof. Roland Kopalian, Academic Staff, Department of Classical and Romance Philology. It was noted that the results of the project work are fruitful and mutually interesting, which was caused by the highly professional partnership of both parties involved in the project (ASU and AUF). The guests visited the State Historical Museum, Z. Paliashvili Museum and other sights of our city. Future cooperation plans were outlined.

On June 10-11, Akaki Tsereteli State University, organized by the Tariel Putkaradze Scientific-Research Center of Kartvelology at the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Georgian Philology of the Department of Georgian Language, organized XIV National Scientific Conference of Master's and Doctoral Students of Kartvelian Linguistics.

On June 3, Joseph Wood, an associate professor at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Visited Atsu- English Philology department and delivered a lecture on “Iterations and Deviations on the Sonnet” to the students of the English language and literature. He discussed sonnets by authors Such As Christina Rossetti, John Berryman and Terrance Hayes. At the end of the lecture Dr. Wood answered different questions and talked more on the US college students' experience.

After the lecture, he met the EPD staff and spoke about the ongoing research he is conducting on teaching literature at Central Asian and Caucasian universities.

Akaki Tsereteli State University, organized by the Department of History and Archeology, will hold a public lecture entitled: "From the History of the First Republic of Georgia."
The lecture will be delivered by Associate Professor Otar Nikoleishvili.
