On February 12, 2019 the working meeting within the frame of Erasmus + CBHE project Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY) took place at Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University in Kutaisi, Georgia. The meeting was attended by the teachers of Academic Writing Course.
The meeting with the teachers of Academic Writing was planned to make an overview of the conducted Academic Writing Course and results of using antiplagiarism software, implemented in the frame of the INTEGRITY Project
The aim of the Erasmus+ CBHE National Structural Measure Project – INTEGRITY is to ensuring Academic Integrity for quality teaching and learning through launching plagiarism prevention and detection mechanisms and policies in the beneficiary universities in Georgia.

On November 11, 2018 the Training  within the frame of Erasmus + CBHE project Academic Integrity for Quality Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Institutions in Georgia (INTEGRITY) was offered to the teachers of Academic Writing Course at Akaki Tsereteli Kutaisi State University in Kutaisi, Georgia.
The content of the training programme was focused on  the issues  of  academic integrity and plagiarism prevention and importance of feedback. Training was equally dedicated to the theoretical part as well as practical topics concerning integration and usage of moodle and anti-plagiarism software in the frame of Academic Writing Course.

On April 4-5, 2019 a Management Meeting took place in the frame of Erasmus+ CBHE project Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position  (AESOP)

hosted by Kiev National Economic University named after Vadim Hetman in Kiev, Ukraine.

Consortium members of the AESOP project from Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, Italy, Finland, Austria and Great Britain participated in the meeting to overview the activities completed within the Project, and more specifically the training programs in student advocacy conducted at each non-EU university and to report on the results. European Partners provided thorough feedback and recommendations. Institutional policies and activities of the established Ombuds Offices and the work done the Ombuspersons were discussed. At the meeting the next activites; a management meeting in Baku and Final Conference in Kutaisi were discussed and particular decisions made.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine attended the meeting.

On May 27, 2019 a Management Meeting took place in the frame of Erasmus+ CBHE project Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position  (AESOP)

hosted by Khazar University in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by Consortium members to overview the project, discuss the goals of the Project, assigned tasks, and progress. The meeting was dedicated to the results and challenges of the project, as well as issues of Quality Assurance, important deadlines and upcoming activities.

The final details regarding the Final Dissemination Conference Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position in Three Eastern Partnership Countries – Georgia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, that will take place at Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaisi, Georgia on July 15-16 were discussed.

The National Erasmus+ Office in Azerbaijan participated in the meeting. The Head of the NEO and staff members monitored the Project. At the end of the meeting particular recommendations were given.

Pilot training for university members in new student advocacy procedures takes place at Khazar University in March-April 2018 in the frame of Erasmus+ CBHE project Advocacy Establishment for Students through Ombudsman Position  (AESOP).

The training includes both, interested university members and a randomly selected group of participants who are asked to volunteer for the training. The aim of the pilot training is to provide the students and staff members of the University with the information about Ombuds Offices, Ombudsperson, duties and responsibilities of Ombudsperson. General information on the structure of the university, obligations of Schools and Departments, internal discipline, rights and duties of students. The training is planned and conducted in collaboration with the new Ombudsperson.

Later based on the results of the pilot training held at Khazar University, other non-EU participant  universities will conduct trainings at their Universities.

Ombuds Offices at three Georgian, four Azerbaijani and two Ukrainian universities were stablished based on experience shared with EU partners in December 2018 –January 2019 in the frame of the AESOP project.

The aim of the Project is to promote democratic “Student Advocacy” procedures in agreement with the Bologna Process in three countries from Eastern Neighbouring Area by establishing Ombudsman Offices.
