Two national EU funded CBHE projects: Strengthening the Quality and Relevance of the 3rd mission in Georgian Universities – SQUARE and Role of Universities in the Regional Development – RURD are implemented within HEIs of Georgia.

Vytautas Magnus University (VMU, Kaunas, Lithuania) one of the participants of the Erasmus+ CBHE Project “ROLE OF UNIVERSITIES IN THE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT” (RURD), hosted the meeting on March 13-16, 2022. At the meeting representatives of Regional Universities overviewed the ongoing phase of the Project, presented reports on the decisions made regarding update of university Strategic Plan, on the training process, LLL courses, discussed ongoing and future activities.

On December 6, 2021 second training in Challenges in E-learning - Teaching Using Innovative Digital Tools was offered to the project consortium member Akaki Tsereteli State University staff within the frame of Erasmus + CBHE project “Developing and Implementing Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning at Georgian HEIs (DITECH).”

On 2-3 March 2022 the workshop Current State of 3M activities at Georgian Universities for the SQUARE consortium members was hosted by Ilia State University. Speakers from 8 Georgian universities: GSTU, GTU, ATSU, BSU, TSMU, ISU, CU, and TSU presented the overview of third mission status at their institutions covering activities in the fields of continuous education, knowledge transfer, and social engagement.
