The Faculty of Pedagogy at Akaki Tsereteli State University started a UNICEF-supported course on "Child Rights", which aims at training a child rights-oriented educator.
On March 17, 2022, a training was held at Akaki Tsereteli State University Child Rights Center. The training was led by Nato Kobuladze, Associate Professor of Akaki Tsereteli State University, Child Rights Expert.
The teachers of the NNLE "Kutaisi City Kindergartens Union" participated in the training.
The training covered the articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child: education, social protection, freedom of expression, engagement in play and recreational activities, equality and non-discrimination, cybersecurity, justice, healthy environment.
On March 22, 2022, at Kutaisi public school N15 (Director Eliso Jibladze) an award ceremony was held for the winner of the competition project "Promoting the Teaching of Children's Rights in Schools" announced by UNICEF and Akaki Tsereteli State University Child Rights Center. 30 schools from different regions of Imereti participated in the competition, Kutaisi public school №15 was among the winners.
On March 29, 2022, at Kutaisi public school N5 (Director Tariel Gvelesiani), an award ceremony was held for the winner of the competition project "Promoting the Teaching of Children's Rights in Schools," announced by UNICEF and Akaki Tsereteli State University Child Rights Center.
